There are three Bach flower remedies that are recommended for people having concentration problems: Chestnut Bud, Clematis, White Chestnut.

So, if you are often inattentive or dreamy, procrastinating and loosing things, let's have a look at how these remedies can help you.

Clematis

Clematis is the flower essence that brings focus and concentration when it is needed. If you recognise yourself in one or more of the following, you may benefit from this Bach flower remedy:

  • you are often dreamy, you appear to live in a dream world far from reality.
  • sometimes, you are not physically present, you are lost within your thoughts.
  • you often procrastinate by doing nothing, or spending time on the web, or playing games...

Clematis will help you concentrating and focusing more on the present. It will help you get more work done.

White Chesnut

You may need White Chesnut flower essence if:

  • your mind is always full of thoughts, especially when the same repetitive thoughts keep coming.
  • you replay your interactions with others, by having conversations in your mind about discussions you had with others (you often think should have said that.

White Chestnut can help you to stop thinking too much, notably about things that already happened and that you cannot change anymore. Therefore, you can concentrate on what is important now.

Chesnut bud

Chesnut bud can be beneficial for you if you experience the following situations:

  • you always make the same mistakes and do not learn from experiences
  • you are often late, you always lose things because they are never in the place where they should be
  • you are a specialist at procrastinating, and you always do things at the last minute
  • you do not really live in the present, mostly because you are always focused on what is next. For example, you do not remember if you closed the door of your house/flat because you were already thinking about your morning meeting at work.

Clematis and Chestnut bud look like similar, notably regarding procrastination and forgetting things. The difference is that:

  • Clematis is more for daydreamers, people living in their own imaginary world.
  • Chestnut bud is more for people who are too concentrated on what is next (like having diner while already thinking about the next day for example).
